4Stretchable Skates?Mar 18, 2011
By RCAV8TOR
An inline skate that increases in size? What a novel concept. I was skeptical about this claim when I was researching inline skates for my 12 year old stepdaughter for Xmas.

To my surprise, this feature really works. Now we don't have to worry about her outgrowing of this pair of skates within six months. Skates are of decent quality, definitely not high end but the wheels & bearings roll nicely & the buckles are easy to use even for a child. Gray & purple colors are attractive & these skates don't look like cheaply made toys, either.

If you're concerned about your children outgrowing these soon after purchase you can relax knowing there's room to stretch 'em out so they can keep on skating.

I read the reviews for the Men's skates & there were complaints about the buckles & the tongues breaking. As for those possibilities, we'll have to wait & see. I do know that care must be taken when clamping the buckles. There is a way to do it without using much force by "cinching" the straps together after you've buckled them.

4great price, great fitAug 04, 2011

I bought these roller blades mainly for the price. i have not rollerbladed in about 10 years so i wanted to give it a try without spending a lot of money in case i wasnt up to the challenge. I wear a ladies shoe size 7 1/2 usually and i didnt need to adjust the blades at all, they fit like a glove. The clamps are a little awkward to adjust but once you get the hang of it, they are okay. The ride was smooth depending on the pavement. The only thing i didnt like was that the blades only have one brake on the right shoe. I showed my blades to some women at work and they wanted to buy them as well. I would highly reccomend these for people who want to try the sport and never bought a pair before. If you are a pro, you may want to get something more expensive.

5Good quality roller bladesAug 21, 2011

Great Quality. I was a little unsure about what size to get at first. I wear a size 8 shoe, but these size large roller blades fits great. They are also adjustable if you have any problems.

Wheels and buckles seem to be good quality as well.

Overall very happy with them!

5Good skates for older beginnerJul 10, 2011
By Reynolds
Looking for a pair of skates for our 12 year old, we wanted something that was easy to wear yet was not a kiddy product. We wanted a nice, comfortable pair of skates that she could learn on but would not outgrow immediately. These have proven to be a great purchase for her.

The skates are easy enough to put on and take off, yet provide good support. Our daughter has not complained of any fatigue or pain from the skates and has spent quite a lot of time in them in the month she has had them. She loves the purple color combo and thinks they are cool, with lots of compliments from her friends. At 12 you cannot be seen wearing anything juvenile, you know.

Overall, we are all very pleased with the skates and would recommend them to anyone looking for a reasonable priced entry-level pair of quality skates.
